Here I go again trying to tell you I know stuff about nutrition. My interest this week was piqued when I talked to a friend who told me that eating an egg-white omelette was the way to go for good health.

The Bulkley Valley’s third annual celebrated Literacy Awareness Month begins tomorrow, Jan. 27, with a whole bunch of activities, the first in a month-long celebration of knowledge.

The Bulkley Valley Backpackers (BVBS), now officially a society, celebrated the accomplishments of Barri and Einar Blix at the group’s 20th anniversary dinner on Jan. 15. About 40 members attended the dinner at the Driftwood Lodge, including some longstanding hiking advocates.

This Wednesday is Family Literacy Day at the Northwest Community College Campus in Hazelton from noon until 3 p.m.

This week there is a story about the Great Northern Amazing Race and I thought it was important to share how wonderful I think this event is going to be.
