Last year was quite amazing for the Creative Roots crew, and this year is shaping up to be just as busy and exciting.

The science-world is all aflutter on the news that a group of scientists have found a way to incorporate the natural design of a butterfly’s wing and implement it into new anti-counterfeiting measures on currency.

A trio of local ladies is producing a fundraising concert at the Hilltop Pub on Saturday. The event, called Lilies Of The Valley, will feature over a dozen performances, starting at 6:30 p.m. and running until after midnight.

The Grendel Players, part of the Grendel Group, will be putting on ‘The Story of One Town’s Heart,’ a theatrical production this Saturday evening, Feb. 5, starting at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic School. Students at St. Joseph’s will get a sneak preview of the play on Friday.
