Most people know someone or have someone in their life that has cancer, or has been affected by cancer.

Terry Fox is known worldwide for his battle with cancer, and his run across Canada to raise millions of dollars for research. There are many organizations that organize similar fundraisers all year long.

There have been significant breakthroughs in the way treatments of cancer are handled, and the goal is to find the cause and to eradicate all forms of the insidious illness.
