Coach Tyler Dykens said she was impressed by her girls, especially for the team win, considering most other teams had more skaters in the competition.

“I’m exceptionally proud of all my skaters and how they performed. They trained really hard for this competition and it paid off,” she said.

The club’s Ice Carnival is fast approaching, set for 6:30 p.m. on April 7 at the Smithers Civic Centre Arena. The theme of the carnival is Beauty and the Beast. Tickets for the show are available at Wooden Mallard, Heartstrings, Interior Stationary or at the door.

“All our skaters are participating, come out and support the club,” said Dykens.
