Philadelphia Flyers Hall of Famer Jimmy Watson shares tip with Steelheads

Jimmy Watson shares his top tip with the Steelheads, who are facing off the Williams Lake Stampeders in the CIHL finals.

This weekend, the Smithers Steelheads will face off against the Williams Lake Stampeders.

In a conversation about his induction into the Philadelphia Flyers Hall of Fame, we asked Jimmy Watson what his top tip to the Steelheads would be, going into the second game of the finals.

You know what, I would say, play as a team,” he said. “And they likely have done that to get to this point, but always look at it from a team perspective and just play real hard for yourself and your teammates.

It’s that simple. It’s not complicated stuff here. And the team that works the hardest, and the team that’s the best team, will win the game.

Steelheads certainly sound like they have done that and hopefully they will continue to do so.”

Puck drops at 7:30 p.m. at the Civic Arena.
