The Annual Hazelton Secondary School indoor soccer tournament was held on Saturday with several teams participating throughout the day.

The Hazelton Secondary School junior boys soccer team proved to be a force to be reckoned with at the Annual Indoor Hazelton Secondary School Soccer tournament  last Saturday.

Six teams participated which included the junior boys team, a HSS junior and senior girls team, the Hazelton Hustlers, the Kitwanga Wildcats and a newly formed Hazelton team called Rain.

HSS senior soccer player Tiffany Bennet said the weekend was a success yet losing to Simon Dodd’s junior boys might be a hard thing to get past from a teasing aspect.

“It went smoothly with no major injuries or terrible fouls and six teams playing which helped us raise over $1,000 for the HSS senior team this year,” she said, adding with a smile, “Mr. Dodd put his boys team in which we cheered for right up until the finals when we played them. They are in such amazing shape and they ended up winning the tournament which I don’t think we are going to live down anytime soon.”
