Ebenezer school was packed with supporters of Carter Harris and his family for a charity basketball game Monday.

Firefighters, paramedics and police officers took on Bulkley Valley Christian School (BVCS) to help raise funds for Carter’s family as the BVCS kindergarten student battles illness.

A GoFundMe page has been set up for anyone wanting to donate called Cache and Kim Harris family.

As of Friday morning, $3,400 was raised by the page.

There is also a chance to bid on a hockey stick at Speedee Interior Stationary. The auction closes at noon Saturday.

The local Special Olympics group kindly donated their half of proceeds that will be raised by the stick.

The charity basketball game raised over $5,100 in cash and cheques, plus a $100 grocery card and a $2,000 donation by Christian Reformed Church.
