Smithers fire ban

The Town of Smithers has implemented a campfire ban.

The fire risk from the extremely dry conditions has forced the Town of Smithers to implement a campfire ban.

Campfires and cookhouse stove use will not be permitted until weather conditions change. This comes on the heels of a forest fire south of Houston and a wider fire ban for areas outside of towns in northwest BC.
