I want to express my gratitude to BC Hydro, the Ministry of Forests, the local Fire Department who dispatched my call, my neighbours and the young fellow who readily took a shovel and started to work on the fire at the end of my driveway. This was from a tree that fell on the power line. All worked diligently, efficiently and with much care with big machines avoiding a dear little tree to me that had, so far, survived bravely Winter challenges.
The fire was under control in a few hours and left my gate intact, the electricity re-established by midnight with a brand new pole. Only Telus was un-responsive and took three days to free the entrance from their cable.
To all of you who helped and cared, thank you from my heart. May this goodness be passed on to others who need it.
