The great chemtrail theory

If I may indulge in delving into a bit of the conspiracy theory realm for this issue, I wanted to talk about chemtrails.

I’m not a conspiracy theorist — I’m not even the sort of person who says that they’re not a conspiracy theorist for the simply fact that it’s all the truth.

But what got me on this subject was two separate, or seemingly separate, e-mails in my inbox on the subject.

What was really odd is that one of the e-mails appeared to come from a municipality from a community southwards from us.

Before you ask, I won’t mention which one because I hold a belief that someone may have been playing tricks with the e-mail, masking their e-mail as another’s. Suffice it to say it was not a community from our area and I hope they’re not getting into conspiracy theory stuff.

Anyway, a few days later another e-mail came in, also on the same subject.

I’m not sure what was up with the sudden deluge. It’s not really an issue I know much about.

Searching the Internet, a great source for conspiracy theories, I have come to the understanding that the ‘chemtrails’ are what some people believe is the government dropping poisons and toxins on the unsuspecting people below for some nefarious purpose. It’s never really clear what the toxin is supposed to do, but maybe mind control is one theory.

The alternate, and seemingly more likely scenario, to me at least, is that it is simply just the condensation trails, or jet streams, left by aircraft.

Then again, maybe I’m just the trusting type the government loves to experiment on. Either way I’m not reaching for a tinfoil hat just yet.

Basically I found it interesting that there was a seemingly growing movement to get this paper to uncover the story.

I’m not sure what to make of that. One the one hand, maybe they’re all right.

Or maybe my junk mail folder needs fine tuning.
