So now our teachers are planning a strike in September. With our dwindling school population the teachers soon will have no more than 15-20 pupils in each classroom but they still are demanding higher pay and sweeter fringe benefits.
Our public service unions, both federal and provincial, have lost all sense of responsibility towards those they are supposedly serving and whose taxes are providing them with the lifestyle to which they have become accustomed.
Since these unions are starting to use their power so recklessly it is time for our governments to rein them in. Remove their right to strike before they make Canada into another Greece.
