Earlier this month I had the opportunity to spend three days with Andrew Wilkinson travelling B.C.’s north, from Prince Rupert to Prince George. And at the end of our road trip, having watched Andrew talk to hundreds of people in dozens of towns, I felt more strongly than ever that Andrew GETS US.
He’s not just some Vancouver guy offering platitudes in order to get elected. He’s lived in the north. Worked here. He understands rural B.C. and would keep us front of mind as leader, and as premier. I don’t take my endorsement lightly – and he has earned my hard-won, whole-hearted support. I hope my fellow northerners will join me in choosing Andrew as their first choice for BC Liberal leader.
