Yvon Emil Fournier born March 11, 1927 passed away at the age of 91 on March 3, 2019 in Smithers, BC. Yvon was born in Lachute, Quebec, the third child of five. Moved to Smithers, BC in 1954. Met a beautiful Witset women, Sophie, and had three beautiful daughters, Irene, Mary Jane, and Mary Joan.
After the passing of his first wife, Yvon married Regina. While in Smithers he worked many jobs such as logging, ran a comic book store, an auto wrecker, and ran the local dump, also had a store at a mushroom camp in Cranberry Junction and more.
He loved the First Nation community. He is pre-deceased by his parents, a sister, and his wife Sophie. He leaves behind three siblings, his three daughters, step son Jeffery, 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Thank you to the staff at the Bulkley Lodge for caring for Yvon in his last years.
