WILLIAM C. COOK
1927 — 2004
It is with profound sadness that his
family announces the passing of
William (Bill) Clifton Cook, P.Eng,
of Calgary, AB and Radium, BC,
who passed away in Invermere, BC
on September 28, 2004. Bill passed
on as he lived, with courage, dignity
and honour. Born in Smithers, BC on
November 9, 1927, Bill was the third
of “the 4 boys” born to the late Fred and
Vida (Moxley) Cook. Bill is survived
by a large and loving family: his wife
Cecelia Margretta; his children, Dr,
Suzanne (Larry) Barnes, of Eagle,
CO, Joanne (Allan) Halverson, of
Calgary, William Alan (Renee) Cook,
of Calgary, Louise Cook, of Surrey,
BC, Christine (Deborah) Thomas, of
Vancouver, BC, and Kathleen (Prof.
George) Stawn, of Cochrane, AB;
his grandchildren, Jennifer, Brett,
Ryan, Alana, Stephanie, Brandon and Richard; his brothers, Dr. Fred (Mary), Robert (Marion) and Richard (Pat); and his mother-in-law Irene Green.
He was predeceased by his infant
grandson, Graham Cook on May 30,
1999 and his niece, Carol Ann Day on July 16, 1986. Bill also leaves many friends and acquaintances to mourn his passing. A proud graduate of the University of British Columbia, and
President of Corab Services Ltd., Bill
earned the respect and admiration of
many business associates. Bill loved
to learn, to teach, and to challenge
himself and those around him. He was
an enthusiastic outdoorsman, a lover
of nature; and an avid sportsman. Bill
took great pleasure in traveling the
globe with his wife.
