A resident of Chatham, Wally Kloostra died peacefully surrounded by his family at Chatham-Kent Health Alliances on Monday, May 19, 2008 at the age of 52.
Born in Chatham, beloved son of Sieger & Lena Kloostra of Chatham.
Loving husband of Margaret (Koopmans) Kloostra.
Dear father of Ryan & Michelle Kloostra, Jamey Kloostra, Joey Kloostra & fiancee Beth, and Kevin Kloostra & friend Amina, all of Chatham. Proud grandfather of Dylan and Addison Kloostra.
Brother of Elsie Kloostra & John Easby of London, John & Kim of Niagara Falls, and the late Rick Kloostra (2004). Brohter-in-law of Carol Kloostra of Chatham. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Fondly remembered by Margaret’s family; her mother Rita Koopmans, siblings Siebren & Margo, Sim & Shiela, John & Sharron, Rick & Nell, Rene & Doug, Dave & Deb; and their families, all of British Columbia and Alberta.
Family received friends at the McKinaly Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday May 21, 2008, afternoon and evening. Funeral Service was held at Gregory Drive Alliances Church, Chatham on Thursday May 22, 2008 at 11 am with Pastor Bob Beasley officiating. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
