Virginia Ethel Grimstad
On Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, Virginia Ethel Grimstad of Riondel, passed away in the Kootenay Lake Hospital at the age of 74 years. Virginia was born in Burns Lake to Alfred and Mary Ford on July 8, 1935.
Virginia was predeceased by her parents, eldest son, Walter, and great-grandson, DJ. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, George; three sons, Delvin (Laurie), Douglas (Catherine), Roderick (Colleen), one daughter, Wendy (Bradley) Davidson and one daughter-in-law, Phyllis Grimstad; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; four brothers, George, Gordon (Lucy), Don (Gail), and Richard; two sisters-in-law, Pauline Brown and Olga Penner; one brother-in-law, Robert (Rena) Grimstad; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The celebration of Virginia’s life was held Nov. 6, 2009 at the Riondel Community Center with Pastor Jim Reimer officiating. As an expression of sympathy, family and friends may make donations to the Kootenay Lake Hospital Foundation, CT Scanner, 3 View St, Nelson, B.C., V1L 2V1.
