Victor Jackson (1922 – 2009) died peacefully at his home in Smithers on May 18th. Victor is survived by his wife Lesley, sons Mark (Chrystal) and Paul (Jennifer) and grandson Milo. Born and educated in Aberdeen, Scotland Victor had a long and distinguished career as an architect and planner. He and his wife moved to the Smithers area in 2007 where he gladly offered his considerable experience to local organizations.
Victor touched everyone with his warmth, kindness, sparkling intelligence and compassionate energy and will be remembered for his love of history and wonderful story telling.
Victor’s family would like to offer a sincere and heartfelt thank you to the Bulkley Valley Hospice Society in particular Dr. Biz Bastian, Lynn Shervill and the palliative care nurses for their help and compassion during Victor’s final illness.
