Who passed away at her home in Telkwa, BC on December 9, 2009, surrounded by her family. She was 92.

Born Phyllis Dakin in Frankfort Ontario her family moved to a farm in the Bull River area of the East Kootenay in 1921. She married Geoff Burton in 1940 when she was 24 and they lived in several BC communities including Sheep Creek, Retallick, Vernon, Williams Lake, Quesnel, Golden and finally in 1971,Windermere. She was predeceased by her husband, Geoff, in 2001 and in 2004 Treva came to the Bulkley Valley.

She leaves behind four children, five grandchildren, and one great grandchild; as well as many friends and family throughout the Columbia/Kootenay region and Bulkley Valley. She will be sorely missed.
