Tom was born March 28, 1940 in Victoria, BC and passed away in Hazelton, BC on June 16, 2018 surrounded by loved ones.€Tom was a member of the Royal Canadian Navy where he spent 21 years as a ships diver in Victoria and his last three as a diver instructor in Nova Scotia.

After naval retirement in 1977 he moved to the Kispiox Valley where he worked as a counselor supervisor for troubled youth and then as a ranch manager. Tom lived in the Kispiox Valley for 14 years until the pasing of his wife Rose, later moved to Granisle and then to Burns Lake with his second wife Pat.

Tom loved to share his stories with family and friends as well as his experiences and escapes of his time in the navy. He also loved to hunt, fish, camp, mushroom pick, play cards and carpet bowl, always with a great smile on his face. Tom was a mentor of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Lions Club International.

Tom is survived by his sister Joan, children Rick (Donna), Debbie (Steve), Belinda and Bill, stepchildren Bev (Leanne), Dave (Gail), and Lavita (Stan), 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by parents Win and Bessy, twin brother Ralph, first wife of 30 years Rose, second wife of 23 years Patricia, son-in-law Billy Love, and granddaughters Rhonda and Corina Love.
