Born Aug. 18, 1933, in Hazelton, B.C. Sylvia passed away on Jan. 21, 2006, in Smithers, B.C.
Sylvia is survived by her husband Bob, of 50 years; her children Vernon (Cindy), Joan (Bill), Bruce (Irene). Sylvia was predeceased by her daughter Wendy in 1985.
Sylvia spent her whole life in this area and explored every part of it with Bob by her side.
Sylvia’s ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild all have fond memories of time spent at Grandma and Grandpa’s house, doing crafts, baking buns and cookies, and helping out in the garden.
Sylvia was an avid gardener and always grew enough vegetables to feed the extended family.
Sewing and crafts provided Sylvia with much joy and her handmade quilts were cherished by everyone who was lucky enough to receive one.
Sylvia volunteered countless hours at Pioneer Place, New to You, the Bulkley Valley Fair and at the local elementary schools.
Sylvia enjoyed the outdoors and appreciated every aspect of nature.
