Susan Aslin

Aslin, Mrs. Susan Aslin went to be with the Lord on the 2nd of March 2007 at the age of 82 years in Victoria, B.C.

Susan was born in Hague, Sask. on the 14th of July, 1924 to Brian and Maria Peters. Still as a young girl the family moved to B.C. where she resided until her passing.

In 1971, she married Pete Aslin and together raised seven children. A life long believer, she belonged to the United Church and taught Sunday School for over 25 years. An avid gardener, she could grow anything and never let her secret out.

Susan is survived by her husband, Pete, children, Ed (Anne), Sharon (Arne), Clausen, Martin (Nancy) and Alfred (Marina). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, sisters, Margaret Dyck, Anna Unruh, Katherine Harder and brother David Peters, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by three children, James, Alice, and Peter Jr.

A funeral service for Susan Aslin was held on Saturday, March 10 at 2:00 p.m. in the Smithers United Church with Rev. David Stephens officiating with interment preceding the service in the Smithers Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Layton and the staff at Bulkley Valley District Hospital for their loving care and compassion of Susan Aslin.
