“SHE NEVER ONCE GAVE UP, OUR MOM IS OUR HERO”

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of mother, wife, and friend Sheri Gail Howard. Sheri passed away peacefully at Vancouver General Hospital, September 13, 2009 after a lengthy and courageous battle with Leukemia and complications from a bone marrow transplant.

Sheri was born in Hamilton, Ontario, October 14, 1955. She grew up in an extended family and fostered close friendships that last to this day.

Moving west to Fort Nelson in 1983 with her son Jeff, Sheri met and married her soul mate John. After adding Lindsay and Jenny to the family they came to Smithers in 1989 where Sheri has been an active member of the community ever since.

Sheri was known for her engaging and outgoing personality. Her ability to organize and her creative nature and inventive nature is renown. But above her many skills and talents, Sheri was and always will be known for the love she held for her family, friends and community.

Sheri is loved dearly by her husband John, children Jeff, Lindsay and Jenny and will be forever remembered by her family, friends and the community of the Bulkley Valley.

The Howard family will never forget the support from the family and friends of the Bulkley Valley. We were so blessed with love and support from so many of you. We could always feel the love and prayers and it gave Sheri the needed strength to keep fighting each day. You made it possible for us to keep our family going through your many prayers and gifts. It is a true honor to live in a place with such caring and wonderful people. Love You and God Bless You!
