Sharren B. Johnson passed away on May 23, 2015 following a year -long battle with cancer. Sharren was born in Smithers to Henry and Marguerite Lubbers on March 3, 1942. After graduating from Smithers Secondary she completed her nurses training at St. Joseph’s Nursing School in Victoria, BC. During her long and diverse career she became specialized as a psychiatric nurse and had a gift for working with her patients in a caring and non-judgmental way.

Sharren always loved an adventure, which encouraged her to live in many unique places. She always had a kind word and could find the positive in anyone. She is survived by many who loved her including her two daughters, Kara Krafft (Brian) of Woodinville, WA and Katherine Lebioda of Bellingham, WA; her mother Marguerite Lubbers of Smithers, BC, her husband Jim Johnson of Huntington, WV. Her sisters June Lang (Bruce), Nancy Voth (Ken), Patty Eddy (Wally), Kathy Grant (Jim), Heather Delisle(Skip), and brothers Donn (Bev) and David (Farida). Her two grandchildren (Ethan, Sonja) and many other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her first husband Ted Lebioda and her father Henry.

A memorial service will be held on June 27th at 1 pm at St. James Anglican Church in Smithers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Smithers Community Services Association.

We will miss her. May she be at Peace.
