It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ruth Thomas, mom, grandma, and great grandma. Ruth passed away July 30, 2018 in Lloydminster while visiting family. Ruth a long time resident of Smithers, B.C leaves behind her children Shirley (Bob) Swift of Smithers, Donna (Murray) Blackham of Abbotsford, Barb (Cam) Davidson of Lloydminster, Ginny Thomas of Abbotsford, Diane Thomas of Abbotsford, and Mark (Dona) Thomas of Smithers; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Donald Thomas in 2010; grandchildren Orin Larson in 1987 and Patrick Davidson in 2014. A special thanks to the Lloydminster Hospital Heart and Stroke team for their compassion and support in this sad time.
A Celebration of Life will be held on a later date in Smithers, B.C. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Lakeland Funeral Home in care of arrangements. Condolences may be submitted online at www.llfh.ca
