Ev passed away after a sudden illness in Bulkley Valley Hospital with his wife at his side. He will be greatly missed by his wife Helen, children Karen, Eric and Janet, his son-in-law Dan and his grandchildren Zach, Anders, Britta, Jonathan and Maggie. He will be fondly remembered for his love of fishing, gardening, and politics, and his unwavering passion for preserving life in the north. The family is grateful for the care Ev received in his final days from Dr. Pretorius and the many compassionate nurses at the hospital. A celebration of Ev’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on August 16 at Pioneer Place Activity Centre.
