In Loving Memory ~

Rose was born in Dawson City, Yukon in 1935. When World War II began, her family moved to Prince Rupert. Following the war, her family moved to Terrace and operated a farm. While dispatching cabs she met Bob McLeod over the telephone. After a whirlwind romance they married in 1954.

Bob's work dictated that they moved regularly, and so they lived in a number of villages, often returning to Terrace. In the 1980's Rose was chosen to be the first woman lay reader in St. Matthews Anglican Church in Terrace. Shortly thereafter she moved to Kitwanga, where she was happiest.

After the passing of her husband, Rose moved to Thornhill in 2001. In November 2023 she moved to Smithers to be closer to family. It was a brief but happy time, enjoying the company of loving family and making new friends.

Rose was predeceased by her husband, Bob, sisters Stella and Jacqueline, brothers Clarence and Jim.

She is survived by her sister Jean, foster sisters Beatrice, Cora and April, daughter Claudia Perry, sons Bob (Susie) and Lewis (Heather), by grandsons Keith, Jeff, Collin and Robin, eight great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Her cremated remains will be buried beside her husband's grave at a later date.
