Roger Logan
Oct. 22, 1960 - Jan. 19, 2007
It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of our husband, father, son, brother and uncle. Roger was born in Smithers on Oct 22, 1960 and suddenly taken from us on January 19, 2007.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Michele, daughter Sydney and son Tristan. Also by his parents Jean & Arden Logan of Smithers, brothers Brian Logan, Merle (Debbie) Logan of Smithers, sisters Gwen (Matt) Dauk of Kamloops and Lianne (Dave) Vennard of Smithers. In-laws Grace & Harry deJong of Abbotsford, Henry (Barb) deJong of Surrey, Sandra (Denis) Normandin of Newmarket, Ont., Stuart (Lerma) deJong of Smithers, Steve (Helene) deJong of Vernon, Mary Moore of Surrey and Brad (Nicole) deJong of Smithers. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who loved their uncle dearly.
Roger spent all his life in Smithers. He made many good friends in school and continued making friends with everyone he met. He had many occupations in his day including driving (fuel, dump & logging) truck, carpentry and finally being his own boss at North Country Rentals. He loved to build things for his home and family. His many hobbies included hockey, golf and traveling to hot places. Michele, Sydney and Tristan were most important in his life and his family made his life full of love and laughter.
A Celebration of Life was held on Friday, January 26, 2007 at the Smithers Golf Course. In lieu of flower donations can be made to an Education Trust #273516 for Roger’s children at the Bulkley Valley Credit Union in Smithers.
I’d like the memory of me
To be a happy one
I’d like to leave an afterglow
Of smiles when the day is done
I’d like to leave an echo
Whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times
And laughing times
And bright and sunny days
I’d like the tears of those who grieve
To dry before the sun
Of happy memories I leave behind
When day is done
With Special Thanks
