Lee, Robert S. (Bob) Passed away December 22, 2007 at the age of 84. Survived by his loving wife Nadine, daughters: Sharon (Roy) Hamilton of Ladysmith, Roberta (Wally) Cox of Kelowna; sons: Larry (Faith Anne) Lee of Smithers, Dennis (Susan) Lee of Smithers; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; sister: Harriet Lewis of Portland Oregon.

The youngest of four children, Bob was born January 21, 1923 in Centralia, Washington. After high school, he worked as a carpenter and shingler until serving in the U.S. Army during WW II. In 1942 Bob married Nadine, his wife of 65 years. They relocated to Oregon in 1959 where Bob continued in Carpentry work and they raised their children.

In 1967 a move to Smithers, British Columbia began an 18 year period of enjoying the outdoors, working with family and friends, his life long love of golf and his new love, Bridge. Bob’s retirement in 1985 sparked a relocation to the Okanagan Valley and Yuma, Arizona where he enjoyed and a new passion for computers.

Greatly loved and missed, Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather, a man who enriched the lives of all he touched.

A Celebration of Life was held on Friday, December 28, 2007 at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kelowna General Hospital Foundation, 2268 Pandosy Street, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 1T2 or Central Okanagan Hospice Association, #202-1456 St. Paul Street, Kelowna, BC V1Y 2E6. A gift in living memory of Robert will be made to “Holding Hands for Hospice” by Springfield Funeral Home.
