In Loving Memory ~
Pieter Izebrand Oosterhoff was born October 10th, 1921 in Aduard, Groningen, the Netherlands.
On May 29th, 1947, he married Auktje Aurelia Bosch and together with their daughter, they immigrated to Canada in 1951.
Beginning their life in Canada working at a logging camp, 1956 saw them realizing their dream of establishing their own farm and settling on a property near Round Lake. It was here that they continued to raise their growing family, worked the land and enjoyed God's goodness for the rest of their lives.
Dad truly loved the Bulkley Valley and especially his little spot in it.
We were incredibly privileged to be able to celebrate Dad's 100th birthday with him last October. He was able to enjoy the special attention of his family and community.
After a long and full life, his Lord and Saviour called him home at the age of 100, and he passed peacefully in his sleep early Thursday morning, Feb. 3rd, 2022.
Dad is survived by Ria (Lies) Rouw, Anieta (Ben) De Boer, Aurelia (Ray) Spronk, Linda (Koos) Vanderveen, Albert (Donna) Oosterhoff, Rayner Oosterhoff, Clarence (Evelyn) Oosterhoff, Harry (Lori) Oosterhoff and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Auktje in 2018, by his 1st daughter Trieneke, and three great grandchildren: Joshua William, Saul Tobias and Wyatt Edward.
