PETTETT, TED Went Fishin’ Feb. 7, 2010 in the B.V. District Hospital at the age of 73 years.

Born Edwin John Thomas Pettett in Winnipeg Manitoba to Edwin and Zaidee Pettett, he was soon on one of his many travels, moving to Vancouver when he was 4 years old. It was there that he got his education and joined the Air Force in 1954 until his honorable discharge in 1959. Ted had three children, Beth, Jim and Ryan from a previous marriage. He married Bobbi in Alberta in 1986 and they moved to Smithers in 1988 where he enjoyed the people and scenery. He joined the Elks and Masonic Lodge, enjoyed his hobby model railroading, having coffee in all the shops in town and loved fishing, especially at Fulton Lake. He was always ready to go fishing. Ted will be sadly missed by many.

“There are no such things as strangers,

only friends we haven’t met yet.”

A celebration of Ted’s life was held on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010 at 2:00 pm in St. James Anglican Church with Rev. Daphne Moser officiating. If friends so desire, memorial tributes to the Bulkley Lodge would be appreciated in lieu of flowers and can be sent to Box 360, Smithers.

Cremation and Celebration of Life arrangements entrusted to R.A. Schrader Funeral Home.
