October 27, 1965 - July 10, 2018
Pete was born and raised in Smithers, BC, and was the fourth child of six. He lived in Vancouver with friends for a couple of years and briefly lived in Ontario while going to Redeemer College. Pete started trucking in 1987 and developed a passion for his work and became a familiar face along the highways.

First and foremost in his life was his family. He loved to spend time with them on his many walks and would do anything to help them in any way he could. He spent a lot of time on road trips to see his treasured boys play hockey and was so proud of them. His boys were his life and he loved them with everything he had. Pete had a soft spot for the little kids in the family and doted on them regularly. He will be remembered as a kind, compassionate and generous man that loved life and always had a smile.

Pete is survived by Darcy (Amy), Derek and Carolene, lda (Marty), Ron (Joanne), Annie (Tom), Nancy (Albert), Jerry (Liz) and many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and treasured great nieces and nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Hank & Ida Huisman and nephew Tyson. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bright Beginnings Daycare for their transit bus via their go fund me page, www.gofundme.com/daycare-transit or at their account set up at BVCU. Because Pete loved kids and he loved driving.
