In loving memory of Ona who passed away after a short battle with cancer, in Slave Lake, Alberta, where she lived with her family for the past seven years. She is survived by her husband, Dave, of 35 years, their four children, Lloyd (Jody), Julie-ann (Jim), Allan, and Rodney. She has eight grandchildren, whom she loved very much. Ona was born in Smithers, and grew up in Telkwa, where she met and married Dave in 1973. They spent many hours fishing the Skeena and Kitimat Rivers and picking mushrooms in the Nass Valley. They moved from Telkwa to Terrace, Kitwanga, Kitimat, and Stewart before moving with their family to Slave Lake in 2002. Ona considered the Bulkley Valley her home, she has many friends and relatives who will miss her and remember her always. Memorial service will be held later this summer.
