With sadness, we'd like to announce that a long time resident of Smithers, Nondas Nicholas, passed away May 17, 2024 with family by his side. Nondas was the owner of Savalas Steak House and was a very active member in the community during his time in Smithers. He lived a full life and created many memories for all of us. His smile and laughter was infectious and he was a lover of storytelling of days gone by. He will be greatly missed!
