Nancy was born Feb. 27, 1952 in Smithers. She passed away peacefully June 15, 2003 in Vancouver.
We can’t know why
some things happen...
but we can know that love
and beautiful memories
outlast the pain of grief.
And we can know
that there’s a place
inside the heart
where love lives always...
and where nothing beautiful
can ever be forgotten.
A memorial service was held June 26, 2003 at Glen Haven Chapel in Vancouver with Sophie sharing memories of Nancy’s life. Disabled at nine months old from polio did not deter her from achieving many goals. Finishing her schooling in Smithers she later moved to Vancouver with her son Lloyd.
Nancy loved life, nature, music, writing, family and friends. Highlights were the many figure skating shows she attended and the hours she watched her favourite skaters on T.V.
Nancy leaves to cherish her memory her son Lloyd (Theresa), companion Bob, sisters Sophie, Charlene, M.J., brother Bernard and families.
She was predeceased by mother Mary 1979, father Willie 1996, brothers Lief 1958, Marshall 1979, Norm 1992, Raymond 2003, sisters Diane 1958, Hilda 2001.
