Rasmussen, Mrs. Elna Elmina Elfrida passed away Oct. 1, 2007 in the Bulkley Valley District Hospital at the age of 85 years.
Born in Denmark, Elna and her husband Egon moved to Smithers in the early ‘70s opening the Texaco Service Station on the corner of Queen St. and Highway 16.
An active member of the Legion Auxiliary, she would help out where ever she could. She also loved her flowers and grew many of them.
Elna was predeceased by her husband, Egon, and sons, Freddie and Per. She is survived by granddaughters, Tanya, Amanda, Mary-Anne, Suzanna, Kim, Jens and one great-granddaughter, Tianna and many friends.
A funeral service for Elna was held on Friday, Oct. 5 at 1:00 in the Smithers Legion with Rev. George Richmond officiating. Interment was in the Smithers Cemetery.

Following the interment, refreshments were served by ladies of the Legion Auxiliary.
