Mr. Victor Sydney SAINSBURY

SAINSBURY, Mr. Victor Sydney, passed away April 16, 2006, in the Wrinch Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Somerset, England, in 1926. He served in the British Army, 7th Battalion, 6th Airborne Division, the Canadian Army from 1953-1962 in the 1st Battalion, PPCLI and then moving to the RCASC.

He was married to Joan (Long) for 54 years. They moved to South Hazelton in 1978 where he worked for the school district.

Victor and Joan had one son, Peter, deceased; and is survived by four daughters; Jennifer (Tom) Humeniuk of South Hazelton, B.C., Beverley (James) McNeill of Vernon, B.C., Ann (Iain) Illing of Kitimat, B.C., and Louise (Robert) Fiezell of Whitehorse, Yukon. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, three sisters, nieces, nephews and friends.

No service by request, cremation.

If friends so desire, memorial tributes to the Canadian Heart Fund would be appreciated by the family.
