Family and friends of Michael McGowan were deeply shocked by his sudden death on October 12, 2002. Michael leaves so many behind to mourn him, especially his mother, Barbara McGowan, his brother Bill (Darlene) McGowan, sisters Heather (Felix) Couturier, Catherine McGowan, and Margaret (Dan) Olmstead; Nieces, Nephews and Grandnieces, Alison, Aaron, Mary, Jessica, Michael, Colleen, Nicholas, Warren, Ian, Danielle, Tanaya, Darby, and Jade. Michael be came a father last December, and our deepest sympathies go out to his partner Dawn, and his daughter Christine.
Michael was born October 31, 1959, in Hazelton, B.C. He was the fourth of five children born to Bill and Barbara McGowan. Mike grew up in Hazelton, graduating there in 1977. Mike had many different jobs in mining, drilling, and logging, which sometimes took him a long way from home. He would always try to get home for as many family occasions as he could, whether it was a wedding, a graduation, a birthday, or just a chance to get togeth er.
Michael was predeceased by his father William McGowan in 1970, and will be buried with him in the Two Mile Cemetery.
We can still see him when we look in Christine’s face, and we will feel him in our hearts forever. We love you Mike.
