HE LEFT ME ALONE
The light was gone
It had withered and died
He lay there so still
I just stood there and cried.
He had no feelings
I had been hurt
He stood at the top
While I knelt in the dirt.
He stared blankly ahead
My vision was broken
He spoke not a word
Left not even a token.
He left me alone
I cried and I cried
He left me alone
My father has died.
