In Loving Memory ~

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Matthew Stevens, who left us too soon at 18 on May 20, 2025, in a tragic accident. His vibrant spirit and boundless curiosity touched countless lives, and his memory will live on forever.

Matthew is survived by his devoted mother, Jess Stevens/Kantymir, and beloved sister, Sarah. He joins his father, Ben Stevens, and grandfather, Doug Kantymir, in eternal peace.

A passionate locomotive enthusiast, Matthew's interests were vast and varied. He found joy in the thrill of fast cars, the harmony of singing with friends, and capturing life's beauty through photography—whether a glowing sunset, a passing train, or candid moments with loved ones. His curiosity spanned topics from global control systems to countless others, earning him the nickname "encyclopedia" among family and friends. Matthew's playful pranks and infectious humor always brought laughter to those around him.

Known for his sharp intellect, cunning smirk, and warm heart, Matthew had a gift for making everyone feel valued and loved. His absence leaves a profound void, but his spirit endures, offering comfort to those who cherished him, reminding us he is never far.

Matthew's light will continue to shine in our hearts forever.
