Mary Watson

Mary passed away peacefully March 19, 2010 at the Bulkley Valley District Hospital in Smithers, B.C. at the age of 87 years old. Born in Smithers, B.C. on March 12, 1923, Mary is predeceased by her parents: Mary and Steve; and three brothers: Tony, John and Steve. A devoted mother, loving grandmother, loyal friend and a strong community advocate... Mary will be deeply missed by many. Throughout her entire life she was a beacon of inspiration to all who knew her, compassionate, a generous heart and a tireless community volunteer worker. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her six sons: Joe (Jamie), Fred (Pam), James, Steven, Glen (Susan), and Jerry (Nora). Mary will be sadly missed by her grandchildren: Sherry, Allan (Tiz), Kimberly, Keeley (Allan), Fred Jr. (Leigh), Kent, Ryan, Andrew (Alison), Heidi, Chase, Brett, Caitlin, Russell, Michael, Katherine, Nolan, Jillian and Ethan. Mary also leaves many great grandchildren: Lindsey, Chelsea, Matthew, Jordan, Luke, Catherine and Garrett. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 26, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. A celebration of Mary’s life will follow at the Pioneer Place Activity Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. All your thoughts, prayers and generosity are appreciated and kept close to our hearts.
