Mary Margaret Berg
July 28, 1907 - Sept. 13, 2002
Mary was born in Findlater, Saskatchewan.
She moved to Prince George with her family in 1924, where she worked until she married Garfield Taylor in 1925 and had daughter “Hope” in April of 1927.
Mary and her daughter came to Smithers in 1935. Mary cooked in Stewart’s Cafe for several years.
She was multi-talented and was able to make her living cooking, sewing, knitting, etc.
In 1939 she married Peter Berg and started a new life with Pete and his seven adult children; Myrtle, Johnny, Mable, Percy, Harold, Art, and Ethel.
