In Loving Memory of
Mary Louise Alfred
April 25, 1925 - January 5, 2009
Mother was called home last year the anniversary date is this coming Tuesday. Mother loved the Wet’suwet’en language and culture and enjoyed participating in all events. Our grandmother went to be with Lord when mother was only a year old, so mother was brought up in various foster homes. She has gone home to be with our dad and all our sisters (Ruby) and also her brothers and sisters who have gone before her. She was diagnosed with osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and hernia since 2007. Although we miss her terribly, now she is enjoying her time with the Lord and all her love ones.
GO REST HIGH ON THE MOUNTAIN BY VINCE GILL
I know your life
On earth was troubled
And only you could know the pain
You weren’t afraid to face the devil
You were no stranger to the rain
Go rest high on that mountain
Mother, your work on earth is done
Go to heaven a shoutin’
Love for the Father and Son
Oh, how we cried the day you left us
We gathered round your grave to grieve
I wish I could see the angels faces
When they hear your sweet voice sing
