Dunlop, Margaret passed away in St. Vincent’s Hospital in Vancouver, B.C. on June 23, 2002 at the age of 87 years. Margaret was born in Smithers on January 6, 1915, the middle child of Margaret and Tom Dunlop. Her father was employed by the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway at the time of her birth.
She spent her early years in Smithers and moved to Vancouver as a young adult where she sought employment with Pemberton Securities, where she remained until her retirement a few years ago.
She was predeceased by her parents and her brothers, Bob and John. She leaves to mourn her passing her sister-in-law, Mary Dunlop, of Smithers.
The funeral service was held in Vancouver at St. Peter and Paul’s Cathedral on June 27, 2002 with interment in the family plot in the Smithers cemetery on Thursday, July 4, 2002.
