EVANS, MABLE (Mim) - at home with her family by her side on January 18, 2007.
Born in Cardiff, Wales, on September 7, 1911. Predeceased by her husband Rusty in 1994, brother Barry Williams in 2003, and sister Ruby Hoskins in 2004. Mim is survived by her son Dick (Barb), grandchildren Debbie (Glen) Naylor, and Denise (Dan) Early, four great-grandchildren, brother Gordon (Betty) Williams of Smithers, sister-in-law Elaine Williams of North Vancouver, and niece Dianne (Gerald) Swift of Granisle.
Mim’s family emigrated to Smithers in 1928. She moved to the Cowichan Valley in 1937 after her marriage to Rusty. With Rusty’s employment with BCFP, Mim enjoyed living in Vancouver Bay, Caycuse, Campbell River, and Duncan. Her great sense of humour and dedication to family will be truly missed.
A private family service will be held in Sands Funeral Chapel with interment at Mountain View Cemetery.
