DRIEDGER, LORRAINE ‘Lorrie’ passed away on February 14, 2011 at the age of 64 years.
Lorrie was born in Smoky Lake, Alberta in 1947 to Lena and Andrew Palamarek. She married her husband Ken in Edmonton, Alberta in 1967, then moved to Vancouver Island. In June 1969 Ken and Lorrie moved to Smithers, B.C.
Lorrie was a loving wife, mum, grandma, daughter, sister, auntie, cousin and friend. She is survived by her husband Ken; children Rick Driedger, Sherry (Harry) Sturgis of South Seaville NJ; grandchildren Mackenzie and Saige; mother Lena Palamarek of Sherwood Park Alberta; sister Cheryl (Billy) Rudko of Sherwood Park Alberta; nephew Kevin (Shanessa) of Leduc Alberta; niece Katie Milbery (Matthew Robinson) of Winnipeg Manitoba; great nephew and niece Lyla and Cole, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Lorrie is predeceased by her father Andrew Palamarek.
Lorrie’s family would like to express their sincere thanks to all caregivers in Terrace, Smithers and Prince George.
In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes would be appreciated to the Bulkley Valley District Hospital, Box 370, Smithers, B.C. or the Community Cancer Care Team, Box 3776, Smithers, B.C., V0J 2N0. As per Lorrie’s request there will be no formal service.
