LORNE CHARLES THOMPSON

June 16, 2004

In loving memory of

LORNE CHARLES

THOMPSON

Born May 3, 1945

in Vancouver, BC.

Passed away unexpectedly

June 16, 2004 in Smithers, BC.

Lorne was a highly respected

teacher at various schools in

School District #54 (Bulkley

Valley), and retired in June

2003. Retirement opened up a

“whole month of Saturdays,”

allowing him time to pursue his

passions of fly-fishing, biking,

and spending time with his

children, Cameron and Andrea,

and the newest addition to the

family — his granddaughter, Lily

Anne in Cranbrook, BC.

Lorne will be sadly missed

and lovingly remembered by

his wife, Linnea Lanstrom;

daughter Andrea Thompson;

son and daughter-in-law,

Cameron and Heather

Thompson; granddaughter Lily

Anne Thompson; and his

stepsons Brad and Blaine

Baldwin. He will also be

missed by his sister, Pam

Kennedy, nephews Chris and

Lyle Kennedy, Aunt Emma

O’Callaghan, as well as his

many friends.

Friends wishing to do so may

make a donation in memory of

Lorne to St. James Anglican

Church Soup Kitchen in

Smithers, BC, Smithers Public

Library, or the Canadian

Arthritis Society.

The family is grateful for the

outpouring of support from

friends and community

members. Your thoughtfulness

and compassion has eased the

pain of these difficult days.
