Linnea Hanson

Passed away peacefully at age 99, surrounded by family. Born in Prince Rupert, she shared a life long passion for politics with her family, especially her Liberal MP father Olaf Hanson. Growing up she enjoyed summers in Smithers, then called Victoria and Vancouver her home. She showed interest in everyone she met, had a great sense of humour and enjoyed travelling. Linnea is predeceased by son Donald.
Survived by daughter Marta, son-in law Antonio, grandchildren Dany and Maya, great grandchildren Gabriella, Samuel, Lucia and extended family and friends; family that all loved her dearly.
A service will be held at First Memorial Funeral Service 602 Kingsway on April 30, 2011 at 10 a.m. with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to the BC Children’s Hospital.
