June Derlene Duncan was born August 1, 1929 in Tavistock, Ontario to Clifford and Ethel Duncan. She was the eldest of six children, sisters Ferne and Shirley and brothers Raulie, Larry and John.

In 1976, June and her family left Ontario and moved to B.C. June’s life revolved around the love for her children, Robert, Pam, Darlene, Cheryl, Raulie and Debra. Her 14 grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a very special place in June’s heart. She was always more than willing to share pictures of their milestones and the most recent new additions to the family.

She had a zest for life that included playing cards with her friends at Pioneer Place and Thursday night cribbage games at the Legion. She enjoyed her volunteer work, whether it was selling raffle tickets, baking for fundraisers or serving dinners. June was one to always help and pitch-in, when needed, never expecting anything in return.

Her involvement in the Red Hat Ladies gave her so much pleasure, especially when their pictures showed up in the local newspaper.

Over the years June would find her health compromised numerous times, but always seemed to bounce back healthier and better than ever...she fought a great battle.

June was a much loved Mom, Gramma, Great-Gramma, Sister and Friend to many.

We will miss her presence here on earth.

Rest In Peace, June.
