Judith Anne nee McLachlan Kerr

March 9, 2015

Judith Anne Kerr nee McLachlan passed away March 9 at home in Qualicum Beach, surrounded with love by her three daughters, Debbie Macleod, Kelly Proud and Kristy Kerr. Judy fought a courageous battle against cancer and her strength and tenacity will be remembered forever by her family and her friends.

Predeceased by her eldest son Jaye Kerr and grandson, Josh Lindsay, Judy is survived by many loved ones – her three daughters, sons-in-law Stuart Macleod and Ken Proud, daughter-in-law Naomi Kerr, grandchildren Jason, Matthew, Andrew, Ryan, Keenan, Megan, Russell, Connor and Quinn, great-granddaughter Isabella, former husband and friend Lorne Kerr, sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Bob Leighton, numerous extended family and her many friends whose lives she touched every day.

Judy spent her life helping others, with a special dedication to helping women and children, and nurturing family and community. Her favourite pastimes included gardening, walking and travelling. Through all her hardships, her final thoughts focused on how much she loved her life, being a mom and grandma, and how lucky she was. She is on her final trip to her special bush shack and Jaye and Josh have gone ahead to get the fire going.

Her family asks in lieu of any gifts, please do something kind for someone or for an organization in your community.
