Joy Iris Guenter, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in her home at Salmon Arm, BC on July 23, 2020, with her family at her side.
Joy was born at Francois Lake, BC on May 6, 1930. She had a love for life and people. She was compassionate, thoughtful and an honourable woman who loved her family.
She was always quick to share coffee and a snack with anyone within visiting distance and touched many lives. Joy loved her life living on the farm, the great outdoors and enjoyed her work cooking at guide and hunting camps in Northern B.C.
Joy was predeceased by her first husband, George Andrews in 1951 and her second husband, Ben Guenter in 1994; and her brother, Neville Talbot in 1956.
She is survived by her son, David (Alanna) of Salmon Arm; daughters, Betty of Prince George, Terri (Tom) of Drayton Valley and four grandchildren.
